As an experienced OOSH Supervisor, you will lead our brand new before and after school care program and vacation care program for children aged 5 – 12 at Glendale. As the responsible person in charge of the service you will implement the St Nicholas’ OOSH philosophy and work in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the Early Childhood Australia whilst ensuring the centres Quality Improvement Plan is implemented and that the centre works towards exceeding the National Quality Standard for Education and Care.
Overseeing the operations of the OOSH service, you will lead and guide a team as well as provide ongoing support and assistance to the OOSH Centre in all areas including administrative procedures, financial budgets, compliance curriculum development, parent and community liaison, safety and staff professional development and training.
You will assist in developing and implementing programs which offer a diverse range of experiences that promote children’s independence, social skills, learning and development and supports children to be environmentally responsible.
In addition, you will supervise children’s play, promote and guide positive behaviour. You will have a high level of safety awareness, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be organised to meet deadlines.
- A Diploma in Children’s Services (desirably with a minimum of 3 years' experience and or experience in an OOSH service)
- A current drivers licence
- A current working with children check
- A current Child Protection qualification
- A current first aid certificate with asthma and anaphylaxis training
Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, the QIK KIDS program, the Law and the Regulations governing the industry.
This part time role (30 hours per week, rostered between 7.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
